Fall Project

Today is the last day of Hero Arts September Challenge first round. I have a card and a gift box to share. I am into making boxes/tag/gift card holder recently. Hopefully I will have more to show you soon.

First, is the  gift box. I really like this rdesign. I found this Gable Box tutorial Here on Splitcoast Stamper's blog. It's easy to follow and really fun. Hope you will give it a try.
YES! My new Hero Arts CL457 Real Leaves stamp set arrived yesterday. I have to play with it. It's so beautiful and the first time I saw it I knew I have to have one.  Here it is!!
I find it easier to stamp before you cut out all the score line. Follow the instruction to score lines on a 8x11 kraft cardstock. I stamp the leaves with different pigment ink and emboss with clear embossing powder. Stamp the S5447 Large Plain Pattern background with white ink. Cut out and add adhere as instruction to assemble the box. Stamp another leave on scrap paper. Cut out and distress the edge with distress ink.
Die cut tag and stamp the sentiment. For the leave, I stamp it once on scrap paper before I stamp on the tag to have a lighter color. Tie on ribbon , attach tag and adhere leave with glue dot. What a beautiful gift box!

Second is a card made with sketch from Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge WMSC#14 and enter this one for wee Memories Challenge#22 Fall into Autumn.
I use the real leave set to create the background. For the background I am inspired by Talented Joy's card here.

I pull out my distress inks and dab them on my craft sheet. (LOVE it. It makes this coloring skill so easy.) Mix the color. Dip the maple leave stamp into the color pool and stamp on white cardstock. Repeat and change stamps. Finally, rub the card with Tea Dye and Antique Linen and Bundled Sage. Distress the edge before adhere on card base. Trim a pattern paper panel and adhere on the left side. Adhere ribbon. Hand sew the buttons with twine. Stamp the leave again on scrap paper. Stamp sentiment and cut out. Pop off with foam tape.

Tiffany Doodles

I made this card for my niece, Ally who is 4 and half now. She is super smart and with a kind heart. She loves dancing and singing and barbie. Guess what's her favorite color, that's right, PINK. She just started her ballet class. My sister told me the first day she got her tutu. She hasked to wear it right away and can't stop spinning. OH~ What a happy child. I love her so much.

I made this card for her because she is in class lily. I don't have a lily stamp actually and when I browse the net try to find one, I found a digital stamp and also a color challenge of Tiffany Doodles. Use pink, cream and light green. You have until September 30th to enter.

I use her freebie, Daylily. This is exactly what I want. So pretty.

Trim pattern paper from K&Company call, Brenda Walton Small Wonder Girl and adhere on white card base. Punch two borders with EK Success border punch call, Daisy Scallop from white cardstock. Adhere on card base and tie on pink polka dot ribbons.

I print the daylily on a white card stock and color with Wild Honey and Scattered Straw Distress ink. Add detail with green and brown markers. Spread pearl water(Perfect Pearls mix with water, sorry it's hard to see in the picture.) Cut out the lily and pop off on die cut scallop oval with foam tape. Adhere on card front. Add pink pearl and punched butterfly from Martha Stewart punch.

Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to become my follower to win a beautiful stamp here.

WMSC13 & few more Challenges

Hi, I have 2nd post today. I've been working on this one since last night and finally finish it now. How I love Halloween!!! All the sticking color and spooky stuff.
I made this card using Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge WMSC13. They have a super talented team and lots of  amazing entries. I've been missing the deadline so many time. Not this time.

I also enter this one for Paper craft September Challenge, Embellish Magazine: Square color challenge, and Hero Arts September theme:Fall(Halloween).

Make card base. Trim eye ball PP and adhere on card. Die cut purple inverted scallop square and stamp background with watermark ink, adhere on card. Die cut square from polka dot PP, attach green brads and adhere. Die cut white circles and stamp ghost owl, sentiment and background. Color the feet with marker and add jiggly eye. Tie on raffia trim and adhere sentiment circle.

I use Hero Arts CL239 Owl-ween stamp set and CL353 Happy Halloween sentiment. also create the background using CG125 friend Definition. The eye balls pattern paper is from Cloud 9 design call Harvest Holiday.

I've seen seen Ashley Cannon Newell  use raffia trim for a while and always want to try it out. You can see her card here, here and here. She is Queen of embellishment and I learn so much from her. (I got mine from my left over L'occitane package. Free~)

PDCC45 and a giveaway

Happy Tuesday. I hope you all have a great Labor Day weekend. Mine is quiet, slow and nice. I get to craft a little bit which makes me happy. I have some good news to share. This sewing machine card is the SUPER 6 of Card Patterns Sketch 79. This owl card is the Fabulous Four of Wee Memories. WOOHOO~

Today I am sharing a card I made for The Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC45. I've seen lots of crafters using doilies and wrinkle ribbon/ in their project. I've been wanted to give a try and finally make it happen. If you want to know how to make the wrinkle ribbon. Lynn has a great tutorial here.

Here is my card. The red pattern paper from DCWV Amber Autumn Fall stack Collection. I color the doily with Scattered Straw Distress ink and adhere on card base. Cut a slit on the side of the card and thread ribbon through the center. Adhere the cork with a scrip paper and die cut a scallop circle. Stamp sentiment ( -->Hero Arts CL283 Scroll Frame And Messages  ) with watermark ink and emboss with yellow embossing powder. Pop off the cork with foam tape. Adhere bows and roses.

Note:I adhere the cork on a scrip paper because the cork is woo thin and too soft. It makes it easier to pop off with foam tape.

Today I have a little giveaway. I got this giveaway idea from super talented and sweet Anita , Crafty Girl Designs. She has 5 small giveaways for 5 people to win and I really like the idea. I copy most of the rules from Anita because she pretty much got all the details covered. Thank you Anita for a great idea.
I LOVE this Rose Background cling stamp from Hero Arts. I use it to make this card. I have an extra on hand and want to share this with my blog friends.

Here are few reminders:
**You have to be a follower to my blog.

**Leave a comment on this post for this prize. I will only draw on this post.
**You have until Monday September 13, 2010 to enter to win.

Weekend project

Happy weekend. How is everyone is long weekend so far, hope all is good. The weather is not as bad as the report which really makes me happy. It's too soon to end Summer in early September, right?

We went out to do some shopping and it was crazy out there. We decide to have a quiet day at home and I use my time to make some cards.

First is for Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger:Light & Bright. I am inspired by the color of sofa and chairs with a little bit of flowers on the table. Try to keep it clean and simple.

I start from scoring two line on both top and button of my white card base. Give it a bit texture. Die cut label from two cardstock and adhere together. Die cut raspberry strip and adhere on label. Draw white dots along the edge , stamp sentiment and adhere on card base. Tie on ribbon. Stamp flower from CL374 Big And Small Flowers with water mark ink and emboss with white embossing powder. Cut out and pop off on card with foam tape.

2nd is for OTWC Challenge#23. I am inspired by the Chandelier and the wedding theme. I really want a bold and exaggerate card. I think I have it.

Stamp the S5264 Antique Flower Background with Black ink on red card base. Stamp H5327 Small Chandelier and sentiment from CL360 Best Wishes set with watermark ink and emboss with black fine emboss powder. Color gems with blue marker and adhere on card. Adhere ruffled black ribbons.
I learn how to ruffle the ribbon from super talented Ashley Cannon Newell. She has a great video tutorial. Got to check it out.

Final one is made for Paper Craft September Challenge feature newsprint, ledger paper and vintage text......
I LOVE my Hero Arts CG179 Rose Background.
First run my beige card base throw my Big Shot with my new Sizzix emboss folder, Starring Night#2. Love love this folder, it covers the entire A2 card. I mean entire.
Trim beige and kraft strip, pinch corner. Stamp CG125 Friends Definition with Rich Cocoa Dye ink on kraft one. Sentiment CL156 Treasure The Moment with the same ink and adhere together with foam tape and adhere on card base. For the rose, I stamp the roses on white cardstock with Rich Cocoa Dye ink and color the flowers and leaves with Distress ink from Ranger. (Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint) Cut out and adhere on card with foam type. Love how the color blends together and turn into a soft tune rose.

(All Stamps from Hero Arts) TFL~

Made with LOVE

Happy Friday!! It's a very happy Friday for me. I woke up this morning and found a happy mail in my box. My first acceptance of Paper Crafts Magazine in Stamp it! Techniques. I can't tell you how happy I am and it feels great that all the hard work pay off.

I am sharing a happy card today with you. Made with love.

Trim the burlap and glue on kraft card base and tamp sentiment. Then stamp the flower on white card stock and pattern paper. Cut out the petals on pattern paper and piecing on cut out big flower. Attach fabric brad and adhere the flower on burlap.

Note: Be very patient when cut out the petals. I cut the big one first. Whenever I cut out one petal, I glue it right on the spot. They all look the same and this saves a lot of "puzzle" them together if you mix them up.

TFL~ Have a great long weekend.
